New Zealand Income Tax Rates
The following tax rates apply from 1 April 2000:
- For income up to NZ$38,000 - 19.5 cents in the dollar
- For income from NZ$38,001 to NZ$60,000 - 33 cents in the dollar
- For income over NZ$60,000 - 39 cents in the dollar
Please note that if you receive an income over NZ$61,000, you will pay 19.5 cents in the dollar for the first NZ$38,000, 33 cents for the next NZ$22,000 and then 39 cents for every NZ$1,000 earned over NZ$60,000.
