New Zealanders in general love technology and as such access to the internet is readily available to more than 98% of the country.
Broadband internet (ADSL and Cable) is available in most areas, with some more remote areas still reliant on dial- up access. Many cities and towns have internet cafes, where you can access the internet and web based email accounts easily and cheaply.
For more permanent access, New Zealand has quite a number of suppliers that are more than eager to sign you up. The plans offered vary in cost depending on the length of contract you are willing to sign up for. Some of the larger providers that you might like to try are Xtra, Ihug, Slingshot and Clear.net.
