The hospital houses 189 beds, catering mostly for acute care clients and is the hub of an extensive network of outpatient services covering all aspects of medicine. A dispatch centre for the Royal Flying Doctor's Service also operates from there.

Alice Springs is the second largest town in the Northern Territory with over 25,000 people in the town centre, and close to 40,000 people in the region. Alice Springs has a unique cultural mix, with a significant American population who engage in their own holidays and sports.

To be considered for this position you will:

be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Northern Territory;
be eligible under the Specialist Pathway or hold general registration;
have at least 12 months previous experience in General Medicine;
