To be eligible to work in the United Kingdom as a medical practitioner, you must first obtain professional registration with the General Medical Council. If you do not currently hold registration with the General Medical Council, information about how to obtain registration can be found here.

Do you need a visa?
if you need a visa to work in the United Kingdom, Latitudes can provide professional migration advice and assist you obtain the correct visa for your circumstances.
Non-Specialist Medical Practitioners
In the United Kingdom, Latitudes is able to offer positions as locums working through our agency in addition to our permanent placement service.
In the first instance it is unlikely that we will be able to secure a training post, however many positions that we do facilitate are recognised for training purposes, and when you do secure a training post, time spent in the initial post can be counted as training time.

Specialist Medical Practitioners
If you are registered as a specialist with the General Medical Council, Latitudes can offer you the freedom of locuming through our agency as well as secure a permanent position if that is your preference. Either way, we will be keen to hear from you.
