Nick Hays, Managing Director, Latitudes Group International

Nick’s involvement in the Medical Industry commenced in 1992, initially in the financial and human resource management of multiple medical practices. This involvement resulted in the establishment and management of a recruitment agency for medical and nursing staff, providing short-term locum relief to the private and public health sectors.

Moving to Brisbane in 1999, Nick established another successful specialist recruitment division on behalf of the Australian Medical Association (Queensland).

Nick established Latitudes Medical Recruitment in October 2001. Latitudes Medical Recruitment has grown rapidly, and evolved into Latitudes Group International. The Group now holds several State, National and International contracts for the supply of medical practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals to the government hospital and private sectors in Australia, New Zealand and the Gulf Region.

Nick possesses detailed insight into the issues, cultural and legislative, that are influencing the medical recruitment industry on a global basis. Nick is involved in various steering committees regarding health workforce issues.

Glen is the Director of our Migration Services Division and is responsible for overseeing compliance of all legislative and registration issues that affect the employment of international medical graduates in each of the locations we service. This challenging role requires daily interaction with all levels of government and regulatory authorities to ensure provision of the most up to date information to assist with your recruitment needs.

A veterinary surgeon by training, Glen has over 17 years in senior management roles in veterinary practices both in Australia and overseas with wide experience in all practice types. A desire to change careers, has led him in to the area of Compliance and a special interest in migration policy. As such, Glen is able to assist both clients and candidates through the intricacies of the immigration regulations to obtain the best solutions for all parties.

Brian’s experience within the finance sector, administrative roles and management positions spans more than 20 years. For seven years Brian worked in his own business providing financial, administrative and system development support to a range of small businesses. Brian joined Latitudes on a part time basis in 2004. With the growth that Latitudes Group International continues to generate, the requirements of the Business Manager to appropriately support management has also grown, and Brian has become a full time member of the team.

The skills Brian brings to this role include the ability to develop financial and management systems that ensure the company is always operating from an informed position. Networking has always been an important part of business and the diverse range of contacts that Brian has developed are imperative to business success. The move to Latitudes has been an exciting opportunity and includes managing the expansion and further development of the company’s involvement in the Gulf Region, which continues to expand beyond our expectations.

 

Craig McDonald, Senior Consultant

Craig joined Latitudes Group International in early 2007 directly from New Zealand into the position of Recruitment Consultant where he is specializing in our international markets of New Zealand and the Middle East.

Craig has extensive experience in the New Zealand medical recruitment field, having until recently worked as the Medical Recruitment Advisor for Hawke’s Bay District Health Board. In this position Craig was responsible for managing the recruitment of all medical professionals employed at the hospital, as well as finding locum staff when needed.

Previously Craig assisted with the establishment of a successful New Zealand based recruitment agency, initially as the only consultant. These roles combined to provide him with more than seven years experience in the New Zealand market.

This unique combination of experiences that Craig brings to Latitudes Group International gives us a high level of understanding of the challenges that our clients face on a daily basis allowing us to refine our services to better fit their needs.

Craig manages our team of professional consultants providing recruitment services to our many clients throughout the Australia and New Zealand.
